In 1957, Jason's great uncle Bobby Myers was tragically killed in a crash at Darlington Raceway in Darlington, SC while driving for Lee Petty. Seven months later, Jason's grandfather Billy Myers died from a heart attack while leading the race at Bowman Gray Stadium.
Jason's father, Gary Myers, is the second generation of Myers' to compete at Bowman Gray Stadium. Gary ranks seventh on the stadium's all-time victory list with a total of thirty-eight (38) wins.
Jason and his brother Burt Myers represent the third generation of Myers racing.
Jason is a third generation driver appearing at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston Salem, NC. He began racing in 1999 in the Street Stock division at Bowman Gray. He accumulated 16 wins and a championship in 2001. Jason made his modified debut in 2003. He currently has 50 wins which include Bowman Gray Stadium, NWSMT, Friendship Motor Speedway, Ace Speedway, Caraway Speedway, Dillon Motor Speedway, Langley Speedway, Kingsport Speedway and a feature win at the Historic North Wilkesboro Speedway. He was also awarded the 2015 Whelen All-American Series State Champion!
